Life Purpose Vision Boards - It's Time To Get Out of Your Own Way

Becoming a Helping Professional is often a heart-centred choice to lead a purpose-filled life. But, accomplishing this spiritual journey alone is not always easy. So, how can you manifest your spiritual path faster with a life purpose vision board?

What is it that brings up resistance for us as Helping Professionals and how come most of us end up broke, burnt-out, self-sabotaging and procrastinating instead of fulfilling our life purpose and manifesting the life we really desire?

So, why is it so common for Helping Professionals to know how to help everyone else, but they have a hard time sorting out there OWN lives?

The simple fact is many Helping Professionals do NOT feel truly worthy of having what it is they want.

The science behind the Law of Attraction is based on knowing how to manifest in a certain way that eases any vibrational resistance, so you can manifest everything that is important to you as you fulfil your Life Purpose with clarity, purpose, life/work balance, more vibrancy and prosperity.

This maybe creating a vision board that aims to attract more clients who resonate with your message, story, vision or mission or how you want to heal or help others improve their health and well-being.

What is a Life Purpose Vision Board Exactly?

Basically, it is similar to a traditional vision board, a visual representation of your goals. But I named my vision board; my Life Purpose Vision Board to align my life purpose and the essence of who I am and have a balanced life!

The main reason was realising that when you begin creating a vision board to help you fulfil your life purpose, you will feel free and no longer believe you have to choose one or the OTHER, you can have BOTH personal and professional fulfilment!

Life Purpose Vision Boards really CAN and do free you up to give and receive, in all areas of your life including the physical, emotional, intellectual, spiritual, material, creative, adventure, character, financial and professional elements of your life.

Until we as Helping Professionals are ready to get out of our own way, we block not only our own destiny or any goal we might place on our vision board, but we hold our selves back from reaching the people we feel compelled to serve.

What Shall I Include on My Life Purpose Vision Board?

It is important to have a very 'clear mental image' of what it is you are asking the Universe for!

The Law of Attraction concept is based upon what you think about most of the time eventually manifesting into your life. From this perspective it is very important that you find a way to focus your thoughts to be in alignment with what you want to do, be or have.

Using a specific theme such as you fulfilling your life purpose, creating life-work balance, manifesting more vibrancy and prosperity, you can be sure that things you place on your vision board will support you in making your difference in the world and at the same time manifest prosperity in every area of your life.

Life Purpose Vision boards will work for you to manifest your life purpose, your vision, your healing, your goals, your destiny, your dreams, your desires, wealth, prosperity and abundance, a soul-mate or manifesting absolutely anything!

Knowing thoughts become things, your dominant thoughts (both subconscious and conscious thoughts), become things, in other words they manifest into your reality.

Even though we know that it is our thoughts that determine what we manifest into our lives and it sounds pretty simple, many Helping Professionals feel guilty about putting themselves first or feel unworthy of receiving money for their work.

This is dominant in their thoughts and this kind of negative thinking (poverty thinking) is constantly energized with negative emotion (poverty consciousness), often not being aware of how to manifest using the Law of Attraction, they use it in reverse.

Because their focus is centred around what they don't want, they do not really believe they can manifest everything into their reality or they are not truly open to receiving or just don't know what they want or are not placing their attention long enough to manifest anything into their reality.

Unfortunately, this is why so many Helping Professionals have had the negative experience of trying to manifest using the Law of Attraction and Vision Boards as they don't really know how to make them work.

Put into action a vision to align your purpose in life, with your current business with your true-self and your personal life and you will begin seeing noticeable changes in a very short period of time.

Instead of trying to figure out or force your way to manifest a better life you'll have a clear mental image and be telling yourself I can manifest anything and it will happen for me.

And soon, you'll know how to manifest your vision for prosperity and abundance with your Life Purpose Vision Board doing the work you love!

Manifestation: Is The Law Of Attraction A Lie?

For many, many years now, a lot has been said about something called the law of attraction. In most cases, this law is used to back up the view that someone's thoughts create their reality.

As a result of this, if someone wants to experience or to attain something, they will need to have the right thoughts. It is then 'all about the mind' and there is no other part of ones being that needs to be taken into consideration.

The Downside

Furthermore, if someone ends up in a bad position or if they haven't got what they desire, it will be because they have had the wrong thoughts. The same will apply if they are ill or if their health is not as they would like it to be.

So no matter what is going on for someone, they will need to sort out their thoughts and everything will soon be fine. As for how long it will take for their life will change, it will all depend on how long it takes them to only have positive thoughts.

Pure Fantasy

One way of looking at the law of attraction would be to say that it is nothing more than childlike thinking; that's not to say that childlike thinking is always bad, though. Clearly, purely thinking positive won't do much by itself.

Also, if someone is ill, are they only ill because they have been having too many 'negative' thoughts? If someone believes in the law of attraction, they can easily end up coming across as lacking compassion and they can make people believe that they are to blame for what is taking place in their life.

A Surface Level Understanding

When it comes to this law, what is rarely taken into account is what is taking place at a deeper level. The point of focus is the conscious mind, while the unconscious mind is left at the door.

In some cases, the unconscious mind won't even be thought about; it will be as though it doesn't even exist. But while this part is often overlooked, what if what is going on in this part if someone's being has a far greater impact than what is going on in their conscious mind?

The Shadow/Dark Side

The conscious mind is often seen as the tip of the iceberg, which shows how insignificant it is. The part of the iceberg that can't be seen, the unconscious mind, is far more significant than the part that can be seen.

The question is: why is the unconscious mind so important when it comes to how someone experiences life? Firstly, it is far more powerful than their conscious mind, and secondly, it is where someone will store all of their baggage.

A Different Law

Another law that is not as well known as the law of attraction is the law of resonance. Unlike the first law, this law doesn't say that someone's thoughts manifest their reality; it says that what they are resonating creates their reality.

When it comes to what makes up someone resonance, it will relate to what is being carried in their resonance field. This will include their thoughts, feelings, beliefs and the trauma that they have experienced in this life and has been passed down to them from their ancestors.

Two Areas

What this means is that one's resonance is not just the result of what is taking place in their mind, it is also the result of what is taking place in their unconscious mind/body. If someone wanted to change their life and they were to only focus on their thoughts, it would be the equivalent to cutting the top part off a weed off and not getting the root out.

Just as with a garden, if someone wants to actually change their life they will need to deal with what is taking place at a deeper level. Ultimately, the pain that is being carried in their body might rarely enter their conscious mind, but it will still have a massive impact on what they attract or repel into their reality.

An Important Part

Naturally, if it is not just someone's thoughts and what is taking place in their conscious mind that is having an impact on their life but it is also their feelings and what is taking place in their unconscious mind, only dealing with their thoughts and what is taking place up top is not going to be enough. The feelings that are held in their body will need to be dealt with too.

Most likely, one will be carrying feelings in their body that they are not even aware of. But, even though this will be the case, these feelings will still influence what they are resonating and, what they are resonating will define what they can or can't experience.

An Analogy

When it comes to describing the law of resonance, one thing that Dov Baron (an expert on this subject) often said was that if someone is tuned into a radio station that only plays one style of music, they won't be able to hear any other style. The same will apply to one's own life; if they are resonating lack, for instance, they will attract experiences that are in sync with where they are at energetically.

Another way of looking at this would be to say that someone attracts what they are. This is why a big part of experiencing something involves letting go and not being attached to it as if one is attached and is not in a place of already having what they want, they will attract more of what is in alignment with their current state/vibration.

Awareness

The other thing that is not always mentioned is the importance of taking action; inspired action to be specific. One is then playing their part or meeting the universe halfway, so to speak.

If one wants to change their life, it will be essential for them to deal with their inner baggage. When one does the inner work, they will be getting their hands dirty and it will be painful, but it will enable them to change their life.

We Can Do This

As we all struggle with the medical, social and emotional implications of this pandemic, I wanted to reach out and share some thoughts that might be of some assistance in terms of coping and comfort.

First, you are not alone in this. It's easy to say, but not always easy to accept especially after a considerable period of time has passed. Trust me that at some point you are going to start to feel like you're the only one "suffering". In reality, you have an entire network of family, friends and even colleagues that are or will soon be feeling this way. Given the multiple facets of technology, we can more easily stay in touch with people than ever before. And while you might not be able to physically be there a phone call, text, email, Facebook shout-out can go a long way to helping yourself and someone else. So reach out and connect via technology. In addition to your normal circle of BFFs, I'm sure there is a long thought about friend or relative, former classmate, retired colleague or even a personal coach who would love to hear from you. The expression that misery likes company is currently on display in real terms. Staying in touch is the best way to validate that we're not alone.

Second, it's human nature to think about all that we have lost (even temporarily) rather than all that we have. This feeling will become increasingly acute as people are furloughed from their jobs, struggle financially and/or confront this disease on a personal level. It is now that we need to take stock of all our blessings no matter how large or small and be thankful of their existence. The saying that we never "realize what we had until it is gone" tends to ring true in situations like the one we are all facing. So I encourage you to take inventory of what you have, preserve and protect to the best of your ability and cherish each for what it has or will mean to you going forward. It will prove to be a source of great strength now and later down the road.

Third, you might have heard about the concept, Sphere of Control. In a nutshell, it talks about not wasting our resources around those things that are out of our control. Again, one of those concepts that is easy to understand but difficult to apply. Yet it is critical for all of us to keep focused on what we can control (attitudes, beliefs, interactions with others, precautionary steps, etc.) so as not to waste two of our most precious commodities... time and energy. Since we don't really know where this is all going, our immediate future is highly dependent on our ability to stay in the present and not get distracted and dragged down by things beyond our control.

Finally, I want to reiterate just how special we are to each other. We are a community of people who care. We can conquer this situation by sticking together, helping one another and being smart in our personal and professional interactions.

My best wishes for your health, safety and comfort going forward!

Top Tips to Manage Your Time in Social Isolation

We're living in unprecedented times. From our health, income, education, ability to travel, no one has been exempt from the impact of this global pandemic. So excuse yourself if you have an occasional melt down. It's understandable under the circumstances. We don't know how long it will last, what the outcome will be. All we can manage is how we react and learn to take each day as it comes.

Practise daily gratitude. A positive, thankful approach is the key to improving unfortunate circumstances. Start each day by being thankful; for waking up, for having a roof over your head, running water, electricity, your health, your family and friends. Times like this often bring out the best in people, so be thankful for the people who check to ask if you're okay, the opportunities you have to walk each day, to slow right down, spend time with your family. Okay, this situation is tough, but you can improve it by appreciating the good in your life.

Take care of yourself. That way others don't have to worry about you and you're in a better position to take care of those who need your attention. Self-care requires both mental and physical stimulus, so reading, games, work, study and physical exercise are an important part of your commitment to yourself. Getting enough sleep and not staying up all hours or over-sleeping are also important.

Explore available options. Might this be a good opportunity to learn another language, refresh an existing skill, diversify? If you've free time you could turn it to your advantage by investigating and even training in a new interest or skill.

Help others. Those little gestures, the phone call, bunch of flowers on the doorstep, the 'thinking of you' greeting card can make all the difference to someone's day. And when you shop for essentials or go online for support remember your local small traders are relying on your custom to survive.

Keep to a regular routine. It's tough when your normal life has been thrown into disarray and added unexpected worries and concerns. But it helps when you re-establish some order in your life. Get up at the same time, shower, put fresh clothes on, designate certain times for work. Some people even have their children wear their school uniforms, which helps them appreciate that this is not an extended school holiday and that they have to do some actual school work!

Don't allow the children to dominate your life and run you ragged. Start as you mean to go on and introduce one of the great online exercise classes to burn off some energy, but also have quiet time too where they read, paint, do some chores or crafts and give you a little space.

Stay hydrated and eat healthily. Keeping your fluid intake up is important. Virus's thrive in your mouth and throat so drinking hot/warm water regularly, perhaps adding fresh lemon, ginger and honey, can help to keep your airways clear. Maintain a good diet, including fresh fruit and vegetables. The supermarkets are doing a sterling job of frequently restocking.

And manage your alcohol intake. When we're feeling fed up it's tempting to go down the wine'o'clock route, but it doesn't help and you'll feel worse afterwards, as you will if you stock up on treats like cakes, biscuits and chocolates and then binge eat the lot in an afternoon!

Manage your time on social media and the news sites. There's plenty of fake news, naysayers and doom merchants out there, feeding us gloomy prophecies, images and statistics. Yes, check in once or twice a day but don't allow depressing information to be drip-fed into your home and life on a regular basis. Remember, you're in control!

Stay connected. There are plenty of groups using skype, zoom, what's app, Facebook to stay connected and be supportive of each other. Keep in touch with the people who are important in your life. Many businesses are finding effective, alternative ways to contact their clients and hold meetings, run training sessions and still work.

If you've a partner give each other space. It can be challenging to spend 24/7 in each other's company, especially if you've only ever done that on holidays or at Christmas. Post-holiday and post-Christmas anyway are the busiest times for divorce lawyers! So if you don't want to fall into that category ensure that you agree to not do everything together. Maybe one shops for food, walks the dog, works in the study, goes for a quiet read, potters in the garden, has a leisurely bath. Make allowances for each other's low mood at times. Give each other personal time.

Stay positive. A good perspective and sense of humour are lifesavers, especially at the moment. Social media, used well, can help lighten the mood. When you dip in and see the fun, imaginative ways people respond to daily themes or news stories it can brighten the day. Or laughing at some of your unfortunate attempts at baking, DIY or making something work can keep a pleasant light-hearted atmosphere.

If you find you're struggling maybe keep a journal and write down how you're feeling. It can help to get things down on paper, and writing is more effective than using your laptop. Avoid running 'what-if' and worst case scenarios in your mind. Intercept those by distracting yourself; move, dance, sing, phone a positive friend for an upbeat chat. Aim to accomplish one positive task each day, from tidying your sock drawer, cleaning the windows or even sorting your emails. Then you have a regular achievement to feel good about.

We're all trying our best to get through these exceptional times. Let's support each other and do it together.

Is Determination Alone Enough to Change Those Bad Habits?

Most of us are taught that if we try hard enough we can accomplish any goal. But sometimes, when we've spent years reinforcing a habit, determination isn't going to be enough to change that pattern. Of course being determined is an essential ingredient in changing your habits but in my 20 years of mentoring and coaching entrepreneurs I can guarantee you, it's not enough!

Here's why...

Your habits are a direct result of your beliefs.

No matter how determined you are to do things right, if your beliefs are not congruent with the ACTION you need to take, no amount of pushing, forcing and challenging yourself will be sustainable. You'll most likely see a change for a few days, a quick burst of momentum but within 10 - 21 days you will slide right back to those hold habits.

That's because your core beliefs energetically match the actions you take (or don't take).

If you tend to procrastinate on business growth activity, chances are you have conflicted beliefs about success.

Or maybe you aren't courageous enough to charge more for your offerings. But you look around and notice that many are charging more - a LOT more! So you think to yourself, "There is no way that could work for me - no one would ever pay me more." Or you'll ruminate about it for a while and come to the conclusion, "I just can't do it - what if no one buys at that price?"

If we were to follow that line of thinking we'd probably uncover that on some deep level you have a limiting belief around what you are worth.

Here's another example...

Your coach shows you how to organize your time more effectively. You KNOW what you should be doing each day to get traction but somehow every day you get sucked into a bunch of distractions and low pay off activities.

You know you SHOULD do things differently but you ARE NOT doing it. Why? Because deep down inside you are in conflict about success. You think you want to make more money or have a successful business but you've been carrying around this belief - what we might call a story - about what would happen!

You fear what you would have to give up - family time, your freedom, a hobby or maybe even your deep belief that you aren't good enough.

You fear what people might think - you think you are better than they are or that you are evil.

And you might even worry that giving your business everything you've got could blow up. What if it DOESN'T work? What will people think?

So how does one actually change habits permanently?

You've got to recode your beliefs, the internal thought patterns and ideas that shape your decision making, in order to up-level the actions or habits you take. Sometimes you can shift instantly by becoming aware of the belief that is dictating your actions - sometimes you need guidance to identify the correct limiting beliefs so you can and recode it.

Another approach is to make a list of all the beliefs, stories and excuses you tell yourself in order to keep that habit alive. Then, each time you catch yourself in your old habit, ask yourself, "What am I telling myself right now to keep this habit? Is it really true or am I just telling myself this?" That should help you break down the old habit. Be sure to instantly replace the old habit with a new one that is more aligned with your ideal outcome!

Suspect you may have limiting beliefs or habits that get in the way of your success?
